I'm really excited to share some recent updates I made to my home studio. When we first bought our home a few years ago it was because my husband needed a home office and I needed a home studio. I was tired of taking my dining room apart to set up for a newborn session! And after the session I was normally too tired to put everything back together.
When I first put my home studio together I wasn't sure what type of storage I would need, and really, what my work flow would be like. I had ugly carpet, which was not easy to clean when a baby peed or pooped! I also didn't have very comfortable seating for my parents, and if I'm honest with you, I felt bad they didn't have a more comfortable seating area. Wondering what my old studio looked like? But all that has changed. This past month I updated my home studio! I have fancy new flooring which makes clean up a breeze. As you enter my newborn home studio you'll see my comfy parents area! I have this amazing love seat that is so so comfortable! I want my parents to feel like they can sit and relax while I take their newborns pictures. This is a time when they literally have 3 hours, to themselves!

My studio has a closet that I store my posing bean bag in when I'm not using it and also some miscellaneous items that I use for cake smash sessions or milestone sessions - Oh and my favorite cart from IKEA! I like to keep my macro lens, shooting lens and baby wipes, blankets and other items on it and it's easy to wheel over to where ever I'm shooting!
I hope you've enjoyed my studio tour! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email!
