Not everything goes as planned, every time. Sometimes we have to Pivot and Shift during a session and that’s what we had to do with James‘ newborn session.

James has a big sister who was very excited to have a little brother, and she was VERY protective of her little brother. So protective that she did not like when I was holding him!

We tried our best to get Big Sister to cooperate and join us for pictures, but she was not having it! And you know what – That’s ok!

I loved how James’ pictures turned out and the family ones are some of my favorites!

Little Theo came in for a mini swaddled newborn session. His Mom was so excited and he was such a good baby! He didn’t make a peep the entire time and he was in and out of the studio in about an hour. I’m so glad his Mom chose me as their newborn photographer!

Oh this little angel was so tiny and had the softest head of hair! She was a little squirmy, but once she settled, she was just amazing for me. I loved all the pictures we captured during her Newborn Session!

Mom wanted super girly set ups and chose Pink, Pink and Pink in her session prep email and I’m totally in love with her pictures!

I love when clients coming back to me to photograph they’re newest little addition to their family!

Little Ethan was a rockstar during his session and we were able to go through so many different set ups. He was just adorable and slept like a champ. Pretty sure his Mom followed my prep guide, to the T!

I absolutely love this family! We had such a great time catching up at their newborn session. It wasn’t so long ago that we were taking big brothers newborn pictures and it was fun seeing how much he’s grown!

He was such a proud big brother and, full of energy! He gave me the biggest “cheeses” and was so excited he got to hold his little brother (with a little help from Dad).

Little Grace reminded me so much of my own daughter as a newborn! She had the exact same color hair (and just about the same amount) as my little girl. It really made her session special for me!

Mom really wanted to include sibling pictures and Big Sister was more than happy to cooperate (I love older siblings)! She was just smitten with her little sister and you can see it in the pictures.

What’s with all the Twins lately? It seems that twin sessions really come in waves! There are times when I can go months, and months without a twin session and then all of a sudden it’s 3 or 4 twin sessions, all in a row.

I love twin sessions, but man they’re exhausting! But in a good way! I always have an assistant for twin sessions and it really helps. Not only do parents get to sit back and relax, but she also helps me remember which twin is which, especially when they’re identical twins!

I just love how colorful Medha’s Newborn Session turned out!

During our email consult, Dad sent me some inspiration pictures and I could tell they wanted something with lots of color and to also incorporate florals for Medha’s Newborn Session.

Medha’s session was a Newborn Swaddle Mini Session, which is a quick 1 hour session and 2 setups. During the session I kept her fully swaddled and was able to achieve a couple different wrap styles and looks this way without having to unwrap and wake her up between each pose.

I love how they came out and it was exactly what her parents asked for!

As a photographer, there is nothing more rewarding than having returning clients. It’s like catching up with old friends and seeing how much they have grown and changed over time. Every session is unique, but returning clients hold a special place in my heart because of the familiarity and comfort that we share.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a little girl whose big sister I had photographed almost three years ago. As soon as they walked into my studio, it felt like old times, and I knew we were in for a great session.

The little sister was adorable and unlike her older sister, she slept the entire time. We had a lot of fun during the session, and it was clear that the little girl was very comfortable in front of the camera.

Before the session, her mother had two requests: to include florals and to incorporate yellow into the photos. I was excited to fulfill her requests, and we ended up with some beautiful images. The florals added a soft and feminine touch to the photos, and the yellow added a pop of color that made the images truly stand out.

Overall, the session was a huge success, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. It was an honor to work with this family again, and I look forward to seeing them grow and change over the years to come. As a photographer, there is nothing more rewarding than capturing precious moments and memories for families to cherish for a lifetime.

And then there were THREE… THREE girls and Mom said she was done!

Sisters make the best friends and I know this little girl is going to have lots of memories with her 2 older sisters!

Mom contacted me about a newborn session worried that she had missed the “prime” newborn picture stage, but I reassured her, she was just fine – but we needed to get her in ASAP!

Little Leila came in, ready to party! Mom could not believe how wide awake she was for most of her session. I did manage to get her to take a few catnaps along the way, but she woke up between each set up. 🙂

How is my niece 3 months already? And can we talk about how amazing her hair is? It’s so fluffy and wouldn’t lay flat for nothing!

Little Ella came in full awake and ready to party. She’s so much more alert now at 3 months, than she was as a newborn. It was so fun to watch her giggle and laugh!

Of course, at 3 months old, you can’t party for too long and eventually she passed out and took a nice long nap for the rest of her session!

Oh my gosh! You guys – I had the most amazing session the other day. Not only did I get to cuddle 1 baby, but I got to cuddle 2 babies, all at the same session!

Wait, what? TWINS!

Mom wanted to include both individual pictures of her babies, but also pictures of them together, because you know, twins! We also included family pictures with Mom & Dad and they are definitely my favorites!

When you contact me about booking a newborn session, and are expecting twins, you won’t have to worry about paying for 2 newborn session – I charge the same amount for twin sessions as I do for a single baby session!

I can’t believe I’m posting these pictures! Where has the year gone and how is Daniela already turning ONE?

I remember when her mom contacted me a year ago, worried that she had totally missed out on newborn pictures because of COVID. When she came to see me, Daniela was already 3 weeks old but she totally rocked her session and slept the entire time.

After her newborn session her Mom set up her next milestone session – 6 months – and we set up a faux bed set up and she came in her favorite PJs and that session was so fun, too!

And here we are – her first birthday – celebrating with a Cake Smash session! She was all smiles, even after she got her hands dirty (trust me, thats rare lol).

So yes, I’m bummed we’ve reached her final milestone session with me, but I hope to see this family again for future mini sessions!
