Almost every parent arrives at their newborn session with a list of quiet worries. What if my baby cries? What if they won’t sleep? What if siblings don’t cooperate? These concerns are completely normal — and worries I’ve heard before.
Babies cry. Babies need to feed. Toddlers have big feelings. I expect all of it, and I plan for it. Nothing that happens during a newborn session surprises me or has never happened before!
Sessions are flexible by design. We pause when needed, adjust when needed, and move at a pace that supports your baby and your family. There is no “perfect” baby required and no expectation that everything goes smoothly, especially when Toddlers are involved!
Parents are often relieved to realize they don’t need to manage the session. You don’t need to apologize if your baby is unsettled or feel pressure to calm them quickly. My job is to guide the session calmly and confidently so you can focus on your baby and just enjoy the moment.
If you’re feeling nervous going into your session, know that you’re not alone — and you’re in good hands! With over 15 years experience, I’ve seen it all!
If you’re feeling nervous, I’ve got you — that’s what I’m here for.
